Experiencing mental wellness means that your mind is functioning at its best and in your best interest. You are able to think, feel, and act in ways that have a positive impact on your physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through all the rest of life through adulthood.

Our mental wellness is not a static state of being. How we cope with the normal stresses of life and how we react to the constantly changing circumstances of life can be challenging. Stress, grief, and depression can have a negative effect on your mental health. Mental wellness is not about always being happy. It's about being able to manage well in your daily life - in good and bad times.

According to the Global Wellness Institute "Mental wellness is an internal resource that helps us think, feel, connect, and function; it is an active process that helps us to build resilience, grow, and flourish."

HOW TO ACHIEVE MENTAL WELLNESS

Various studies show that what we eat and drink, exercise, and sleep impact our overall mental wellness the most. In addition, our personal, social, and work relationships, along with the time we spend plugged in and online can also affect mental wellness.

HOW CAN SALT THERAPY IMPACT

OVERALL MENTAL WELLNESS?

Taking a break, even a 10-minute break, to unplug and be fully present and engaged in the moment, aware of your thoughts and feelings without distraction or judgment enhances your mental well-being. Paying attention and being intentional with how you breathe is also important to maintaining and improving your mood while reducing stress and anxiety.

Experiencing salt therapy in a salt room or salt booth is a great way to take a break and unplug in a relaxing and safe environment. The additional benefits of breathing in the micronized dry salt particles, which are anti-inflammatory, enhance our respiratory system by opening our airway passages allowing more oxygen intake. Research shows that oxygen intake helps you relax and boosts energy levels.
